WHAT: The goal is to have 100 neighbors, donate $100 (or less) – 3 times a year – to a Hartford based charity.
For 2024, WECA will match all donations up to $1500 for each event! Now your donation will be worth twice as much!
WHY: It is rare for a non-profit to receive a large and unexpected donation. When this happens, they can use the funds for a larger project and/or growth. We will ask that each of the receiving charities attend our next community WECA meeting to share how our donation positively contributed to their organization.
WHO: The Hartford based non-profits must be a public charity (501c3) and its mission must be for the betterment and growth of Hartford and its people. Once a non-profit has been chosen, it will remain out of the hat for 2 calendar years from its chosen month.
HOW: Submit your favorite Hartford charity to Sarah Martz (sarahjoy21@hotmail). All suggestions will be posted publicly before every WECA community meeting. At the meeting, one of the charities will be randomly drawn from a hat. During this time, please send your donation ($100 or less) either using the Donate button below or mail a check (marked as 100NWC) to:
WECA PO Box 370115, West Hartford, CT 06137.
All donations are tax deductible.
All submissions will be put into a hat & one will be randomly drawn during our live “Pull from the Hat” event which be held at the weekly in-person membership meetings below (keep an eye on our newsletter for the exact time and location on these dates)

Chrysalis Center’s mission is to provide supportive services to assist people in need to transform their lives.
The philosophy of Chrysalis Center is based on a “partnership” model at all levels. Clients and staff are equal partners in the planning, developing, and monitoring of care to ensure clients’ needs are met. Staff work in partnership with clients to identify their strength, needs, abilities and preferences which are combined with rehabilitative and health related goals that support individual choice and growth.
Chrysalis Center’s person-centered approach empowers and motivates clients in their recovery, while allowing families/significant others to have an active voice and role in helping them reach their goals.
